According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, "If current trends continue, Milwaukee County in 2020 will record its highest number of overdose deaths, homicides and fatal vehicle crashes since at least 2010, all to go along with hundreds lost from the coronavirus pandemic and a higher-than-normal number of suicides."

We need safe spaces to discuss these issues and support one another with healing like never before. With best practices and access to resources, community members can help each other recover from drug misuse and get treatment for suicidal thoughts.
