 th First Aid teaches you how to identify\, understand and respond to signs

 may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connec
 t them to the appropriate care.\n\nWhat the Mental Health First Aid Course
  offers:\nâ€¢ Common signs and symptoms of mental illness\nâ€¢ Common signs an
 d symptoms of substance use\nâ€¢ How to interact with a person in crisis\nâ€¢ 
 How to connect the person with help\nâ€¢ Content on trauma\, addiction\, and
  self-care\n\nThe course will teach you how to apply the ALGEE action plan
 :\nâ€¢ Assess for risk of suicide or harm.\nâ€¢ Listen nonjudgmentally.\nâ€¢ Giv
