 ve a refund.</b>\n\nMental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify\, 
 understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disord
 ers. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide 
 initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substa
 nce use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.\n\nWhat the
  Mental Health First Aid Course offers:\n• Common signs and symptoms of me
 ntal illness\n• Common signs and symptoms of substance use\n• How to inter
 act with a person in crisis\n• How to connect the person with help\n• Cont
 ent on trauma\, addiction\, and self-care\n\nThe course will teach you how
  to apply the ALGEE action plan:\n• Assess for risk of suicide or harm.\n•
  Listen nonjudgmentally.\n• Give reassurance and information.\n• Encourage
  appropriate professional help.\n• Encourage self-help and other support s
