 ned to teach parents\, family members\, caregivers\, teachers\, school sta
 ff\, peers\, neighbors\, health and human services workers\, and other car
 ing citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a m
 ental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.\n\nThe course introd
 uces common mental health challenges for youth\, reviews typical adolescen
 t development\, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young peo
 ple in both crisis and non-crisis situations.\n\nTopics covered include:\n
 \nAnxiety\nDepression\nSubstance use\nDisorders in which psychosis may occ
 ur\nDisruptive behavior disorders (including AD/HD)\nEating disorders\n\n<
 b>The training will be held virtually\, with instructor Gloria Marfo. It's
  open to Milwaukee County residents and those who work with them. It's off
 ered at no cost to participants.</b>\n
