 d human services workers\, and other caring citizens how to help an adoles
 cent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challen
 ge or is in crisis.\n\nThe course introduces common mental health challeng
 es for youth\, reviews typical adolescent development\, and teaches a 5-st
 ep action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis 
 situations.\n\nTopics covered include:\n\nAnxiety\nDepression\nSubstance u
 se\nDisorders in which psychosis may occur\nDisruptive behavior disorders 
 (including AD/HD)\nEating disorders\n\n<b>The training will be held virtua
 lly\, with instructor Gloria Marfo. It's open to Milwaukee County resident
 s and those who work with them. It's offered at no cost to participants.</
