 h First Aid teaches you how to identify\, understand\, and respond to sign
 s of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This eight-hour trainin
 g gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support t
 o someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem a
 nd help connect them to appropriate care.\n\nPLEASE NOTE: New Mental Healt
 h First Aid Participant Requirements:\n•	Pre- and Post-Course work required
  for certification\n•	A separate email will be sent to you by April 30th wi
 th website login credentials to complete your pre-course work\n\nPre-Cours
 e Work:\n•	2 hour self-paced learning via Zoom. You must complete this onli
 ne training at least three days before the May 12th course in order to gai
 n admittance to the live instructor-led training.\n\nPost-Course Work:\n•	L
 ogging into the same website as your pre-course work\, you will take a pos
 t-test and complete an evaluation. After this\, a certificate will be avai
 lable for you to download.\n \n<b>This training is offered free of charge 
 thanks to a ReCAST MKE grant from the City of Milwaukee Office of Violence
  Prevention. RSVPs are required at the link below.</b>\n\nPriority is bein
 g given to Milwaukee County residents or those who serve Milwaukee County 
 residents. Course is limited to 15 participants.\n
