Candidate Forum: Assembly District 16 & Milwaukee County Sheriff


Location: Wisconsin Black Historical Society, 2620 W. Center St., Milwaukee

Meet the candidates and hear them debate at this nonpartisan forum moderated by Fred Royal, president of the Milwaukee Chapter of the NAACP. Sponsored by Amani United Neighborhood Association and partners, including the 53206 Drug-Free Communities Project. A meet and greet will be held at 4:30 before the forum begins at 5:30. 


Milwaukee Transitional Jobs Collaborative Meeting

All are welcome to attend the monthly meeting of the Milwaukee Transitional Jobs Collaborative, which seeks to obtain local, state and federal funding for Transitional Jobs and strives to see that such funding is used effectively. MCSAP International Overdose Awareness Day Event @ Washington Park Wednesdays


Location: Washington Park, 1859 N. 40th St., Milwaukee

The Milwaukee County Substance Abuse Prevention (MCSAP) coalition is providing resources and outreach at Washington Park Wednesdays on August 29, International Overdose Awareness Day. It's the final concert in this summer series and will feature the Diaspora Arkestra presented by James Julius Anderson and Tarik Moody. Stop by Washington Park, 1859 N. 40th St., Milwaukee, between 6 and 8 p.m.
